I have noticed and all passengers riding in my car that this terrible smell is coming into in the cabin. We have to open the windows to let the smell out but sometimes & that doesn't even help, it just creeps back in. It is worst at times then others but always there to some extent. I transport my grandchildren to and from school, take them to activities etc and have a constant worry that this is hurting there health, I have contacted the dealership and they said there may be a drainage problem and water is settling into spots and causing the odor and the stale smell but the gas odor, exhaust or transmission smell isn't something they have heard of.

I have called them concerning this problem several times over the past two years asking them if anyone else complained of this problem They told me no one has. Just this last time I called to complain of smell is when the man told me of the water settling and drainage problems, but I'm over my warranty now. I'm calling Ford to complaint along with going back to my dealer again & getting a CO detector to carry in the car. I'm going to pursue this further since the smell is getting worse. I don't feel I should have to pay to fix the problem they say it is even though the mileage is past since it is a defect on there part.
