CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2013 Nissan Altima has multiple problem trends including the CVT transmission, and now that this model is out of warranty, it earns our "Avoid Like The Plague" badge.

Owners complain about vibration and transmission failure related to the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), a whining noise from the power steering pump, and constant windshield problems that appear to be the result of poor design.

Be warned: the 2014 & 2015 Nissan Altima appears to share these same problems.

I don't want to go off, just think Nissan should pay for the repair as they were stupid enough to put a bumper holders in one piece to hold a bumper on especially considering the whole front of the car is one big bumper.

Who would use rubber holders to hold a car bumper on.I'm getting no where at getting in touch with a Nissan rep.

Car is five five months old and litterly falling apart. Logos really good for Nissan I had more respect for there cars than this.

The windshield had a stress crack 2 days after purchase. It was replaced. Noticed hood problem after that. Concerned that the frame might be twisted or bent. Dealer says that the hood is ok. They say they fixed it but I think that they just painted the hinges.

After returning home from the store, I noticed that There was an object down by my gas pedal. I went to pick it up and it looks like its suppsed to be holding something up there. I looked up and could not find where it went, but then noticed a bolt that holds the bracket for the hood, and gas door cables was loose. I mean it was half way out and the other was tight. I do not feel safe in this car finding all of these diferent problems. Almost like they did not quality check it!
