So, got a flat tire yesterday. Thankfully, husband is pretty talented with vehicles, shouldn't have had to worry. Pull over Into parking lot. Finally figure out how to lower the tire, except, lo and behold, it doesn't lower. Tried the next step, releasing the secondary latch. Nope. Nothing worked!! Tried multiple times. Had to have his brother come get him, take him to walmart to get a tire and put it on. This should have been an easy fix. Lower the spare, put it on, and drive away, but no! This is unsafe. It should be recalled and fixed. What of I had been alone, or we were unable to get ahold of anyone or no money for a new tire? What is the point in having a spare you can't use?! This is unsafe and they should fix this problem for free. It could've been much worse for us and thankfully it wasn't but at some point for someone, it's not going to go so well and I hope and pray someone doesn't lose their life because of no access to their spare. Ridiculous!!
