No start issue. Battery and alternator good. Wont start after it's been driven for about 1 hour. When you turn car off it won't start until it cools down. I have not been able to go anywhere because it won't start when I come out of store St shop again. New starter put in and won't start. They are going to keep looking

Keep smelling fuel vapors on the rear left side of the vehicle. Checked the fuel filter and it seems to be working despite my gas mileage getting worse and worse. I've been burning a full tank of gas going less than 250 miles when I should get near 400 miles a tank.

The vehicle overheated and shutdown while traversing rt 287 near boonton at speeds around 65. I coasted off an exit and came to a stop at park ave and wootton St. While I was waiting for my vehicle to cool down so I could either fix/continue driving, it had become apparent that the engine compartment had started to combust. Noticeable by the sound of the fire. That left me rushing to empty out the vehicle of belongings in the middle of the road before the vehicle completely engulfed into flames. Note that prior to the engine overheating absolutely no warning lights nor indicators had turned on. When vehicle overheated the temperature light turned on and that was all until the vehicle was actually on fire and had shut itself off.

After driving car approximately 4 miles on county roads, at 25-35mph. I arrive at my destination, stop, shift into park, and reach to turn key off. I am unable to move key from the run position, and/or remove the key. So my car is sitting there running and I am unable to turn off the engine. After nearly 10 minutes trying to turn the key back to off while jiggling the key and the steering wheel, and shifting the gear shift down and back to park several times, I am unable to regain control of the ignition switch and key. I resort to pulling a fuse underhood to kill the engine.

These comments apply to many sedans! roof is too low! vision is obstructed. Can't look up. Can't see traffic lights change when stopped in front of them! roof supports, especially in the front make dangerous blind spots. Aside from this, I am only 6 feet tall. Yes I am now in my 60's. most sedans are too low to the ground. I can't get in or out! especially if I have to park beside a curb. I can't get out! and just a note: Airbags save lives but I hate bucket seats and consoles with cup holders. So many distractions now! I wish I could still have bench seats. Thanks

The key gets stuck in the ignition and you have to wiggle and jiggle the key and the shifter to get it to come out. Drove the vehicle a short distance approx 15 miles, parked and key would not come out. Spent approx 15 minutes trying to get key out, finally after much wiggling and jiggling it came out.

When the car is at a stable speed, typically between 30-45 mph, and the rpms around 1500, the car with jerk forward and the rpms will jump and drop repeatedly until you either accelerate, or let off the gas. This is a reoccurring issue that occurs during almost all commutes with this vehicle.

Driving on a highway going 65 mph and the check engine light came on along with the traction light. The display says engine power reduced, service traction. I was nearly rear ended when this happen because my car automatically slowed down to 10 mph and stalled out and was barely able to get it over to the shoulder. I keep going to different mechanics and everyone says its something else and I have already sank over $1500 into this and yet it is still happening with no end in sight!!

While driving the brake lights stay on, and when put on brake they don't come on. Happened last year and had brake light switch put in then in a week it did it again and another switch put in, and now it's doing it again. And I shouldn't have to put another switch on it already. I'm fed up with this, this is very dangerous. I need GM to fix this problem because I can't afford to. It cost me over $400 and I don't have another $400 to put it back in the garage. Please help, before some thing happens and I hope not my life. And had to go 7 more times to pep boys and did fix the problem. It some how fixed it's self, but like I said the problem is back.

I called the dealer we purchased our 2009 Cobalt from back in 5/5/14 trying to fix the recall problems. Twice a month I called back up until today and the answer they gave me was they are still waiting on parts. They transferred me to the voice mail of a person at the dealership who was handling all the recalls. I called back in the after noon the same day and got the same voice mail. I then decided to call 800/204-0261 number given to me on correspondence from GM if I had been waiting more than 30 days for a response. The girl at this number called the same dealership to see if she could get an answer. It was the same answer. They are still waiting on parts. The CEO of GM [xxx] barra sent a letter stating that replacement parts orders were going to be completed by Oct. 2014. It is the second week of Oct. And we are still unable to schedule a repair appt. To fix the two recalls for our Cobalt. In addition, no one (dealership or GM employees) can tell us when the parts will even be in. Just because GM has recognized, and admitted publicly, that these faulty parts can, and have caused death, does not justify the delay in repairing the vehicles. Get me a repair date before anything happens. We, and so many others have been plenty patient. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I have also received recall notices from GM. What in the world is taking so long to get these parts" are they waiting for an accident to happen"
