I have a brand new Chevy Equinox, I got it brand new for peace of mind.
However, on Dec. 09, 2020 this truck died on me in the middle of the road. The brake pedal got very stiff, and the following warnings appeared on the dashboard:
Service brakes soon No remote Detected Battery saver active Battery Low - Start vehicle Side Detection Temporally unavailable Low Fuel
Anyways, my 2 sons showed up with jumper cables, but the truck did not start. I had to get a Tow Truck to take it to the dealership. The Chevy service guys changed the brake sensor and said that the problem was solved... That was the beginning of my nightmare.
This truck has left me stranded on 4 different occasions, the prior time it died on the middle of the road and gave me all the mentioned warnings. After about 20 minutes, the truck started and I was able to drive it directly to the dealership... they kept it overnight and the following day they said that the couldn't recreate the problem and they couldn't find the cause of failure and asked me to pick it up.
Since then the truck died completely, the dealer sent a tow truck and (as of 01/06/2021) and my truck is still at the dealership, and none of the technician have been able to fix it.
