I bought a 2019 Chevy Equinox test car. It had a little over 5000 miles on it. The problem started almost as soon as I got the car. The transmission shifts super hard. When it down shifts it's like the transmission forgets what gear it's in. Sometimes when slowing down the car down shifts to 1st gear and sometimes it only drops down to 4th. Leaving me with no power making turns. I never see a transmission shift this hard. I took it to GM dealership and they say it's normal. I have a extended warranty so if the tranny goes I should be covered. Also the start and stop feature is bullshit. That's going to cause an accident. It's got to be hard on the starter. I did figure out that if you put the car in manual mode and shift to 6th gear. The auto start and stop goes away for awhile. You have to put the car in 6th gear and drive around for a little bit. This disengages the auto start/stop.
