I have been on other websites and found this to be a problem for years with this vehicle. But since it is not a safety issue, and is only a design problem, GM will not issue a recall. Why pay when they can make their customers pay.
Update from Jul 1, 2012: I had to go to the engine compartment fuse block located on the driver side of the engine compartment. Lift the access cover to the fuse/relay block. Remove the Fuse Puller (Fuse #25) and then remove fuse #13 (Fuel Pump), wait a few seconds for the fuel to run out, then replace access cover. I then had to lift the tailgate, remove the Panel Cover, Remove the Tire Cover, and then disconnect the negative terminal wire from the battery as to not drain the battery. Now I have to wait the weekend for the dealership to open so I can see how much they are going to gouge me for this.
