problem #3

Impala 3.2L V6

A D V E R T I S E M E N T S

Car hasn't defrosted for 2 winters and the heat only came out when driving, never at a stop. Had the cabin air filter replaced during an oil change (who knew I had a cabin air filter??) and presto, I have heat and defrost again. Magic.

The heating and cooling system output on this car drops significantly after a short time period. I bought the car in May, by the following summer the A/C unit already needed to be recharged. The car is now three years old and the heater will not warm the car until I have been driving the car for about ten minutes. I have started the car 15 minutes before I left the house and the car is still cold when I go outside. I live in NE Ohio so the outside temperatures are cold but not that far below freezing that a heater should not warm an idling car in 15 minutes.
