This has been a reoccurring problem for the last couple of years. I have had my car to the shop to fix this problem 3- 4 times and now it's started again within the last couple weeks. I have had nothing but problems with this car.

I have the same issue, When taking off from a stop in rain, the traction control light flickers and the wheels slip. I turn it off and back on again, and it seems to help. I was also told I have a wheel bearing (left front) that is failing, so ordered a new hub assembly. I will let you know if this helps. As far as the car being dangerous in the rain, I have never had a problem with it one bit. Solid as a rock.

I began having problems with small electrical things first. Windows don't roll down.....airbag light kept going on and off, then I began hearing noise from the wheels and losing power. The ABS and traction lights started coming on. First they said it was my bearings so I got that fixed. Problem went away temporarily but soon began again. I again replaced the bearings. Again, the problem stopped temporarily and began again. I was told I needed brakes and my rotors turned, so I did that. Problem persisted. Went back to the shop and was told I needed engine mount. Of course that wasn't the problem either. Went back to the shop was told it was my sensors. Repaired that twice, all the while constantly replacing tires. One day I was reversing and the car wouldn't go forward anymore.

As I Googled this problem I see people all around the world are having this problem, to no avail from Chevrolet/GM.
