In March I noticed some rust spots/stain on the trunk. I contacted GM and was told to bring it to the dealership and they would take pictures and contact them. I called Sedlak Motors in Minoqua, WI and brought it down. The service manager came out ( didn't take photo's) but said she would contact GM. She called back 4 business days later and said that GM was contacted and they said I would have to pay $100.00 to have this fixed. I asked 'why' I would have to pay as I thought it was still under warranty since it had less that 36K. She said that General Motors had said that 'they like to have the owners '""participate"".

Since I bought the car in October 2012, and it has less than 36K, I guess the 'warranty' doesn't exist as it expired on Dec 13, 2013. I'm not sure how that date is determined. I've had a lot of vehicles and none of them rusted after 3 years. Must be some cheap ass metal they get from China or a faulty paint job. The paint is also scraped off from the fiberglass bumper, but I know that's not going to get fixed. At this point I'm not sure if I'm going to get it fixed or buy a FORD product.

Update from May 24, 2014: I also checked the chevy warranty website. It states 100,000K or 6 years. I am

within this criteria.
