My parents gave me their 2011 Chevrolet Impala with 57,700 miles on it & I flew to Michigan to drive it back to Colorado. I drove 21 hours straight so I could get back home to go back to work. 4 hours after I arrived home, I was sitting at a stop light & when it turned green I pressed on the gas & it wouldn't move. I tried everything from trying other gears, to shutting off the car & restarting it but it wouldn't engage in gear! I had to push it into a parking lot & then get it towed to a transmission shop (which cost me $100) only to hear that it was an internal problem & the transmission needed to be replaced or rebuilt!! And the cost would be $2600! I am pissed off to say the least that this could happen to a vehicle with less than 59,000 miles on it! I can promise this: I WILL NEVER BUY A CHEVROLET AGAIN! WHAT A RIPOFF!!
