Traction control activates causing a grinding noise followed by a significant hesitation. I had both front wheel hubs replaced. What next, any suggestions?
Traction control kicking in when turning to the right and accelerating. Same problem 1 month ago with the other direction, cost over $400 to repair. Tried speaking to GM about it and they blew me off and said has to be diagnosed at the dealership. I refuse to take to the dealership as they tried to rip me off paining for a transmission replacement that was covered under warranty.
Got up one day and when leaving the parking lot the traction assist kicked in. No ice, no gravel, hardly moving with my foot off the gas. Display read "service traction assist" It stopped and did not do it again for a few days. Then it started doing it again every time I put the car in drive. I took it to the dealership and was told it was not covered under warranty after 45000km, I was at 47000km at the time. They replaced a sensor and the problem disappeared only to have the engine light come on again saying service engine. I took the car back and now a "speed control sensor" was faulty. Once again not covered by warranty. Another 500$ out the window.
I bought a new car to avoid having these issues with constant repairs nickel and diming me but have discovered that there are still the same repairs, I just can't fix them myself and it costs 5 times as much to get repaired. 1700$ in 2 weeks for "SENSORS", next time I will just disable the traction assist and save the coin. I learned how to drive many years ago before it existed and am pretty sure I can get along without it now.
