The paint job is in pretty good shape on the majority of the car, with exception of the area right around the gas tank. Another woman approached me in the parking lot and told me that her 1997 Malibu had the same thing and that once it started it progressed rapidly to an ugly cancer on her car. Mine has progressed fairly quickly and I think I will get it repaired before it becomes an ugly cancer.
