My turning signals hasn't worked in about a year so my alternator pulley was completely off my car and I took my car to the dealership they took a look at everything that was wrong with my car and they said the hazard switch needed to be replaced so I paid $122 then I was browsing the internet and I seen that the 2000 Chevy Malibu had a recall on the hazard switch, to get that replaced plus the alternator pulley that had completely broke off and belt in all I paid $540.

I purchased a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu in 06/2007 from a independent salesman. A few months later when I use my turn signals they will come on sometime then sometime they don't show after I turn them on. I check fuses and things everything is good. I am scared when I turn because I don't know if they are going to come on.

Turn signal does not work intermittently. When the turn signal does not work, I turn on the hazard flashers, then the turn signal works. My 1980 Chevrolet Malibu was manufactured October 1999, so I did not receive a recall pursuant to NHTSA #03V327000. When I contacted dealer, I was told they could not diagnose the problem unless I brought it in when the signal was not working. Since it is intermittent, that is impossible until it fails altogether. I assume the dealer was aware of the recall on models with a different manufacture date.

Turn signal failure on 2000 Chevrolet Malibu on numerous occasions. Had to put on hazard lights which sometimes also would not work. Hazard switch replaced at authorized Chevy dealership on 7/26/04 at a cost or $135.07. Just recently noticed on your website that recall 03V327000 had been issued on 2/5/04 by General Motors. Called Chevy recall customer service on 11/29/04 to inquire why I never received a recall notice and was told my car VIN # not on list for recall due to date car was manufactured. In the process of trying to reach an agreement for reimbursement since experienced same problem contained in the recall. Believe you should reopen investigation for General Motors to amend recall for cars experiencing same problem but not on their original recall list.
