So, I got this car and in the beginning I was like wow this is a great first car. 3 years later, everything slowly breaks. My car randomly accelerates to the point the rpm goes up to 4 or 5 when im stepping on the breaks and when its in park forget it, i just turn off my car since it gets in the red 6-7 zone. Sometimes when this happens its impossible to stop the car and you just need to turn it off, very dangerous. Not only this but my cigarette lighter has a short fuse, my drivers seat isnt even on the track it broke off, cruise control never worked, the cd player/tape player do not work, my theft light comes on randomly, i need to put antifreeze in weekly,it gets about 18 mpg....i could go on about how much i hate this car. God forbid i hit 70mph, my car starts shaking like crazy. Not even worth fixing, by the time my car actually gets fixed, i might as well buy a new one !

Same problem Toyota was recently sued & fined for ! This car would suddenly accelerate on it's own - city or highway. Drove 53 miles without touching the gas pedal @ 75 miles an hour - luckily I was on the highway to get home. It would do it in the city & you'd have to practically stand on the brake to hold back the car. The RPM's would rev up the 4, 5, even 6 at times. It'd do it intermittently and no mechanic could find it until I drove it into a garage while it was acting up ! The mechanic thought it was a jet pulling into his garage !

Amazing however that no one has reported this and the Chevy isn't being sued. I guess only foreign auto makers get sued in the US ! I'll never buy another American made car. EVERY one I've had has been JUNK !

My daughter has been driving this car and we thought it seemed like a nice little car. Boy you get what you pay for. We bought it for $3000. Soon after purchase it overheated, but only sometimes. We had the CarFax report and had the thermostat replaced it was under warranty. That took car of that. Then the engine/throttle would stick. You could be at a stop sign and it would go up to 30mph without even touching the gas pedal. That would come and go. Then she called me and told me while she was driving it the power steering went out. Nice! We took it to a mechanic we know, everyone should have a mechanic they can trust, and it was the rack and pinion steering that went out. Also, he replaced the belts because the wrong belts had been put on by someone else. Then he replaced whatever part he thought was bad that was making it accelerate. This was a total of $625. Now it is doing the accelerating thing again. Frustrating! We should have bought the Honda with double the miles! I know we wouldn't have the problems we are having with this piece of crap! Just think if you are going through a school zone on this thing, you will have to ride the brake the whole way. She flies up the driveway at 30mph, I'm afraid she'll go thru the garage. Anyone have this problem?
