2006 Chevy Malibu maxx. Power steering message displayed on radio screen. When this happened steering wheel was very hard to turn. Happened upon starting vehicle, while driving at any speed, and during turns. There are recalls for this issue for same year, make, and model, however GM says mine VIN didn't fall within the recall.
The car jerks violently when accelerating and looses power steering, all dash lights come on the bells ding then when you let off the has it stopped, very dangerous.
Ok steering in this car was good seen that it had a recall before for that. Also when I called Chevy they told me.but that's my most concern as seeing as much I have put into this car. It's weird I looked on your site before and had recalls now it don't. I just want to see how to get it fixed with braking my pockets.
I was driving towards raytown Missouri for a birthday party and asni was driving over a railroad track, my car startee making noise and acted as if it didnt want to go. So I later found out that my transmisaion fluid had leaked and now the transmission case needs to be replaced due to the tracks on the road.

Takatat recall.. I was driving my car on the highway and my steering wheel locked when I was driveing I had my family in the car with me we all could have die lord me and my family is homeless we need this car to get around pleace helpn us with this I was driveing from East St louis il to work at the hollwood casino in St louis mo we sleep in our car thats why my family was there with me when I was driving when it went out and the steering wheel all so shakes very bad
Cannot turn the steering wheel in any direction. Almost as if its locked in place. At first it just seemed like the power steering was going out, but the next morning when I went to leave for work it was gone all together
The last recall you took my vehicle in took the steering wheel positioning torque sensor out that was good because you thought it might go bad and cause a safety issue you replace it with one that went bad I almost got in an accident because of your repair. I called my GM dealer and they're refusing to stand behind. If it was a big enough safety issue to cause a recall. I think you need to recall it again. If the sensor you put in went bad you didn't correct the problem you only put another bad sensor in so you still have the same safety risk. This should be addressed before there's an accident and somebody dies because of your poor recall. I was driving 55 mile an hour on a corner my radio beat and said power steering the wheel jerked and it was really hard to steer.
Power steering warning appears and then power steering goes out. Local garage diagnosed as steering torque sensor. The steering usually works when you first start the car, but completely fails after a few minutes. Contacted local GM dealer and was told it was already fixed under the previous recall and there was nothing they could do. Apparently the parts are failing again.
