This problem is that it started pulling to the right kind of like it was out of alignment. Then it would jerk a little every time you turned the steering. It got so bad that it would fail and be hard and almost cause you not to be able to turn. It almost caused me to run off the road during a turn when it caught me by surprise. It would reset after restarting the car. An alarm on the message center that said power steering failure.
I carried it to the Cheverolet Dealer and he said it would cost about $600 dollars and said he would have to look at it to get me to the cents cost. JOY. 80k miles and I have to have the power steering fixed. Sounds like that we are stuck and will need to trade this off because for a long term car we will be repairing this several times. Still own $6500 for the car and I bet I will not get that on trade.
I had some problems with the steering earlier when the Alignment and Tires where replaced. The Tires were replaced at a tire shop and the Steering Alignment was done at the Chevrolet Dealer. It was pulling to the right before we got home with it. had to take it back and have it fixed and they admitted it was something that was not connected well and came off.
You would think that Chevrolet would fix this when they have a problem.
