HAS NOW HAPPENED 3 DAMN TIMES. WAS TOLD THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT MY VIN # WAS NOT INCLUDED. ASK WHY THE HELL NOT, IT IS DOING THIS.I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER CHEVY IF THEY DON'T FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Power steering would randomly go out while driving, making it almost impossible to turn. Also hard vibrating of the wheel when stopped at red lights. Was told that if I took it took a dealership for diagnosis that I would be reimbursed for this part since it was part of a national recall but since my car has already had this part fixed, I'm am not eligible for the recall. Now my car is sitting in pieces at the dealership since I was not expecting this financial burden.

Chevrolet has issued recalls but deny my complaint because my VIN isn't included. I want to know when it will. Dealership told me back in 2010 that the repair was more than the vehicle is worth. It seems pretty clear if they have recalled some then they ought to recall all vehicles with the exact same problem.

December 2014 purchased a 2007 Chevy Malibu for our teenage daughter. End of February 2015, when in park with the motor running, the power steering light came on and the steering wheel would not turn (about like it is locked up). Shut the vehicle off and restart and then power steering would work.

Called GM due to finding numerous complaints and recalls on the Chevy Malibu regarding steering. Of course I was told that my car, according to the VIN was not under recall. GM agreed to pay for 1 hour of diagnostics. Took car to a GM Dealer to have two other uncompleted recalls taken care of. I noticed a clunking sound when turning into the dealership. A number of codes came up on the diagnostics relating to power steering and low voltage. Dealer said it would be a long shot but replacing the battery might fix the problem. I did not replace the battery as the car starts fine so don't think that has anything to do with the steering.

Daughter drove the car a few days later and the car did the same thing numerous times (after starting the car the power steering light comes on and cannot turn the wheel). I will not let my daughter drive this car now as I am afraid the steering will lock up when driving. I drove the car the next day and when parked with the motor running the steering wheel would start turning by itself and making a growling sound. Our local mechanic witnessed the car's steering wheel turning back and forth when the motor was running and in park and no one touching the wheel.

I have an appointment at the GM Dealer this week for more diagnostics that GM says they will not pay for. GM did advise me to call in once the problem is figured out and they MAY OR MAY NOT reimburse me for part of the cost of repairs.

My 2007 Chevy Malibu has no power steering. It's my only transportation to work and get kids to school. I took it to get checked out and I got an estimate that I can't afford. And it's not the labor that costs, it's the parts.

This is ridiculous. I Googled about this on GM motors and there are recalls for this problem, but it's not for my car but other 2007 Chevy Malibus. I don't understand that????

That's not the only. Problem with the car all the things on you're list are problems. I drive this car everyday. With these problems I put all my hard earned money into this car and can't afford another one. It's awful that you're company won't fix the cars. We as people should be appreciated for thinking that it was an great car but yet we don't get any satisfaction as being a customer of Chevrolet.

MY 18 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HAD JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR AND HAD NO IDEA WHAT WAS WRONG WHEN THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT. ALMOST HIT A CAR IN THE OTHER LANE. I SEE THEY HAVE RECALLED EVERY YEAR BUT THE 2007 WHICH IS WRONG. ITS THE SAME PROBLEM ON THE 2007 AS THE REST OF THEM.

Here we are a bunch of loyal Americans trying to help our car industry stay afloat, but it seems that the industry is not loyal to us.They are very happy when we buy their products, but when these product go bad or need repair all we get is the run around. They sure give the impression that ONCE WE BUY THEIR PRODUCTS THEIR REPONSABILITIES END and the don't give a damn about us.
