Bought 2013 Chevy Malibu brand new in August 2013.
About 3 years in, wife was getting out of passenger front seat and the door stuck. She pushes on it and it pops open. Go around it and the metal trim between the front and back door was bent. If opening the front door it would catch on the back. If you open the back door first, front opens no problem.
What junk. Looks like something had shifted out of place. Then noticed the crappy chrome looking plastic trim at the top of both doors was snapping out of place.
took to dealership and they said it was not covered under warranty. Cost with parts and labor would be $312.00.
I have never fixed it. We just open the back door first. Not a big deal until I have rear seat passengers and have to explain. The wife and I don't care.
