My problem started in December 2016. Vehicle wouldn't accelerate. Vehicle would stall and jerk and make a noise like it was bad gas or something. Serra Chevrolet of Southfield first said it was the transmission. Did an internal and external check of transmission, transmission flush and system software update. This did not fix the problem. I paid for it. I took vehicle back in January 2017. They said no codes were showing and when they test drove it they were not experiencing what I was. Had car several days and gave it back. I'm still experiencing problems. I took it back in March 2017 cause problem now progressing. They had it again saying same o thing not experiencing problem , no codes showing they don't know what to tell me. Gave me my vehicle back again. Now I almost been in an accident several times because once again car progressively getting worse. On several different occasions vehicles almost ran into back of me because my car refuse to accelerate. I took it back in April. I said look I almost was in several car accidents. I've you tube the problems I'm suggesting spark plug change since the so called professional tech could not figure it out . I paid 150.00 . Unfortunately that was the problem. Took car back 2 days later and said the problem is getting worse and worse you have to experience what I be going through. Finally they did, okay. Serra had car for a week . They said it is the solenoid cam. I go pick up car cause they say it's ready, was not out loaner15 minutes. They drive my car around it still pulling. Sorry maam car doing same thing back in loaner. In loaner another week. Serra called said car ready. Now I'm not paying for it because they want me to pay for solenoid cam that you said was the problem the prior week and now the solenoid cam fixed it not. I called GM customer assistance to make complaint. Serra Chevrolet mad as hell cause I called Corporate, REALLY. I should have been had corporate involved. Serra dealership says they can't do anything for and wants their loaner returned NOT. Currently I'm still waiting on Corporates response and going to attain an attorney today SMH. Same car trouble for six months and Serra Chevrolet mad at my frustration WOW

Malibu 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

Transmission shifts very hard. It up/down shifts very hard. Also it chugs going up hills and cant figure out which gear it wants to be in. We have had in in several times and each time there solution is to re-set our transmission. We were told by Chevrolet that the transmissions meant for a single driver and it memorizes driving pattern. so when a house hold share a car it will "confuse" the transmission and doesn't know what to do. Still continues to be a problem and I'm waiting for a bigger problem to arise.
