The 2015 Chevrolet Malibu is generally a very nice vehicle. However, the driver's seat belt developed an issue of not retracting when exiting the vehicle. The latch plate that slides on the seat belt, that attaches to the lower release latch, attached to the floor, often swings outward and lands on the door sill/rear rocker panel below the drivers door latch. It strikes near the tire inflation and GVW rating sticker below the door latch. It has also dented the bottom corner of the door that is in the same area when closing the door, and has damaged the inner plastic door panel.
I must manually retract the seat belt every time I exit the car, as it only retracts about one third of the way back.
