Chevrolet TSB #GCUS3407
2016 Chevrolet Malibu
TSB Document:
Affected Component: AIR BAGS
- Summary
- GM shipped sixteen 2016 model year Chevrolet Malibu's that did not complete final end-of-the-line testing at the assembly plant. The airbag malfunction indicator light in these vehicles should be illuminated; this MIL light indicates that the vehicle's sensing and diagnostic module is not locked. Typically this would be found during PDI. TheseSDM modules must be locked before the vehicles can be sold. GM is currently working on a calibration to address this condition.
