I read recently of battery leaking on 95-97 GM SUV's and trucks. I have also experienced this on my 95 full size pickup truck. The battery leaked acid into the engine compartment all over the electrical connections and brake lines. It is now corroding and GM wont do anything about it. They fixed the first battery at 22K miles. At 34K miles, it happened againg, but my truck was out of the 36 month warranty and they told me they would not warrant the problem the second time. The factory installed and the 2nd delco replacement batteries both leaked acid at the positive post. The battery housing was cracked on both batteries. I also contacted delco and the would not take responsiblity for the problem. So now I have a battery I purchased from an auto parts store. It doesnt leak, but I am afraid on the future corrosion damage especially to the brake lines. I also have a friend which had the exact same problem with a 95 Chevy S10 style Blazer.
