I have this same problem with my truck. It is the 2500HD model. Both brake lights came on so I took it to the mechanics to have it checked out and they told me it was the abs module and it would be $1000 to repair. I have yet to fix it but I plan on doing so before the year is over with. The brake pedal is spongy and pulsates and pushes back at my foot once it goes so far. It has to go down pretty far in order to stop. Recently when driving down the freeway and traffic came to a sudden stop I had to stand up on the pedal which went all the way to floor in order to stop. One thing I did do was change the fuse for the ABS, its a big Blue one inside the fuse box under the hood, to see if that would help and for about a week the Yellow ABS light went out as well as the red brake light. The yellow one is back on permanently but the red one now comes on here and there. It still brakes the same though. I have seen on ebay different dealers and auto parts warehouses either sell rebuilt ABS Modules, new ABS Modules or you can ship yours to them and they will rebuild them for you. All significantly cheaper than getting it repaired at the shop. I am exploring all options right now.

My brakes are fine but it seems that the lights keep on coming on. It's not all the time just sometimes. After the lights come on I step on my brakes and they feel just fine. Any solutions out there that won't cost an arm and a leg since this truck is an older model.

I have had the 4 brake pads on the disc brakes replaced, and secondary drum style emergency/parking pads adjusted. I have checked the three ABS sensors, and the wiring in between the wheel sensors. I have checked the fuse boxes [3] on this model. And now I am checking the sensors and wiring attached to the brake pedal. Still trying to figure out why this light is not going out.

ABS brake light and red brake light continually comes on and goes off. There seems to be no apparent thing we are doing to cause the lights to come on. We have had it to the repair shop (two different shops) and the code keeps coming back as a recalled item. Supposedly it has been fixed, but the lights keep coming on! This is annoying and we wonder if the brakes will give out sometime. We do know that three times, while sitting in a drive-thru or at road contruction, the brake pedal has gone to the floor and the vehicle started moving. Upon releasing the brake the pedal engaged correctly. We do not know if this has something to do with the problem or not. We seem to get a run-around at the dealer when we take it in for more repairs. We are trying again tomorrow and this is not the only problem we have experienced with this truck.
