I have a 2005 Chev Silverado 1500 HD with about 100,000 miles on it. This past Winter 3 of the 4 speakers for the stereo system quit working. The only one working currently is the front passenger side. The front driver side occasionally comes on for a bit, but never lasts long. I have talked to our local autobody guy to see if he has some used speakers to install, but he keeps putting me off. Don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to fix the issue, but it is definitely annoying! It has been a good truck otherwise, and we only put about 3 - 4 thousand miles per year on it now. Not sure what I will do about it until the last speaker goes...hopefully it will last until I sell the vehicle.
Update from Jun 13, 2017: Sold the vehicle...only one speaker was working at the time!
