On another blog...this seems to be a common failure but Chevy ignores it.. I paid a lot for the Silverado..I'll probably buy a Ford next time..thanks Chevy..for nothing!!

Silverado 4.3L V6

  • Manual transmission
  • 40,000 miles

Started up the truck one morning. The ABS and Parking brake caution lights illuminated and stayed on. Took it to Chevy and they said the ABS computer was broke and that I no longer had anti-lock brakes until the computer was replaced. They estimated the repair to be over $800! I contacted Chevy because I only had 40,000 miles. They said they couldn't do anything for me! I still haven't had it repaired and don't plan to. Stops just fine. Just have to remember to keep my distance on days when the roads are slick.
