This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about vehicles that have a Service Trailer Brake System message displayed on the Driver Information Center. After the technician has performed the repairs for the Diagnostic Trouble Code found during inspection, technician will find that the Diagnostic Trouble Code will not clear. Technician will need to turn the ignition off, unplug the Trailer Brake Control module for at least 30 seconds, reconnect the module, and check for any Driver Information Center messages or Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
