Dashboard crack next to airbag and over instrument panel. I am concerned that in a wreck where the airbag deploys the dash will become a deadly projectile. I was sitting still when the cracks ocurred.

I own a 2011 check Silverado I clean my truck regularly an take good care of it I have less then 50,000 miles on it. I found a crack in my dash running from the corner of my passage airbag. I feel that it's a big safety hazard considering if someone crashes into me and the airbag deploys jagged chunks of dash could possibly impale myself or my pregnant wife. I did some research an seen that thousands of Chevy models are having the same issue because of manufactorer negligence an I feel that this is enough of a safety hazard to where something needs to be done about this.
Dash cracked from passenger air bag cover to windshield vent. One day there was no crack then I noticed the crack. Nothing was dropped onto or banged against air bag cover.
My 2011 Silverado dash is cracking in several place and im only the second owner of the truck. I feel sharp piece of plastic could become hazarders during a crash.
On both the passenger and drivers side, the dashboard is cracked. On the passenger side the crack is located near the airbag and in the middle on the drivers side near the hump.

2011 Chevy Silverado lt with a cracked dash on the drivers side and by the airbag. Always have a sun screen over dash during the day and in the garage when at home.
Dashboard around passenger airbag is splitting as many other are. In the event of an accident that would cause stress on the dash from abrupt airbag inflation, plastic could become shrapnel and cause serious injury or death.
Myself as well as many others dash's are cracking randomly in our Chevrolet Silverado pickups. Mine is cracked just to the upper left of the passenger airbag. I have reached out to GM and they have acknowledged an issue have offered to pay $590 towards the repair. I am not satisfied with that and there are several other thousand people that have the same issue with the same results or worse. I would really like to see GM be held accountable for this as I believe this is an safety concern with the passenger airbag deploying in an emergency. There is a facebook page with several thousand members dedicated to this matter it is named "07-13 GM cracked dash safety hazard for all trucks"
Dashboard crack near passenger airbag. Safety issue in my opinion. Numerous other complaints not vehicle specific. Many Chevrolet dashboard issues. Facebook page dedicated to GM crack dash issues
Dash cracked right above airbag only 40 thousand miles on truck. It's known to be a widespread problem with these vehicles and could cause a safety concern being by airbag
I was driving down a city road going about 40 mph when the side curtain airbag deployed in my truck. I did not hit or collide with another vehicle or property, and no vehicle collided with me.
