My Suburban sits under our carport 99% of the time, but yet has a few cracks on the dash. Third issue is corrosion in the undercarriage, and I live in deep South Texas where it does not snow, and the beach is 1.5 hours away from where I live. This vehicle sits on just over 40K miles.

Dashboard has cracked without any intervening event. One crack on the right passenger side of the dashboard is directly on the top left side of the passenger airbag. I'm afraid if airbag was deployed shards of plastic would become projectiles or possibly interfere with the airbag operation. Another crack on top of dashboard is on the drivers side on the top left side of the instrumentation cluster is more than 5.5 to 6 inches long.
I have 3 cracks in the dash of my Suburban. 1 is in the far left, front corner of the passenger side air bag, and the other 2 are in front of the steering wheel, about 8 inches apart. My concern, aside from paying so much money for a vehicle and having the dash crack for no reason, is that the airbag being deployed on the passenger side may send plastic pieces flying at the passengers face. There is obviously a defect in the production of these dashes, as I have read other people state the same issue, in the same spots. I encourage General Motors to issue a recall on this part, as it could pose a dangerous situation in the event of an accident. The vehicle was parked during the period the dash cracked.
This vehicle has been garaged since it was new yet the dash board has cracks everywhere. There are cracks around the passenger side air bag which I am concerned for my passengers safety as it may be possible if the air bag were to deploy, plastic shrapnel from the defective dash may fly and injure someone.

The dash on the Suburban has cracked in 2 places. 1 behind the steering wheel and the other behind the passenger airbag area. This is very annoying and noisy, not to mention the danger with the airbag right there.
Although GM says that the truck is safe, I feel that driving a potentially lethal truck with defective airbags, whose condition is made much worse because of the heat and humidity of sw Florida, I do not feel it is safe at all.
Dashboard has a crack by airbag and another is starting on top of steering wheel and is spreading. Never used any products on dash just damp cloth to dust. Worried if airbag deploys sharp objects from dash will cause injury.
The dash is cracked around the corner of the passenger airbag. In the event of an airbag deployment, the cracked dash could become a projectile and cause harm to occupants.
65,000 miles on 2011 Chevrolet Suburban and the dash has multiple cracks. Concerned that one of the cracks is next to passenger airbag. Worried about shrapnel in a collision.
