Tahoe 5.7L

I just don't know what the problem could be. I have replaced the engine, changed everything old on the motor to new, replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, mass airflow censor, new spark plugs, starter, wires, coil packs all that but for some reason my truck still sputters and I have know clue why. Do you or anyone have any suggestions on what it could be

Tahoe LT 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 98,000 miles

98k miles and a blown engine. Heard loud knocking -- oil pressure and temp read fine. Lost a lower bearing and the motor blown. Changed the oil every 3k miles, kept up with all other maintenance too. Requested that the Chevy dealer contact GM for a break in the repair... no way the dealer said...

A friend with a 99 GMC Denali also had the same problem at 120k miles.

Tahoe LT 5.7L Vortec V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 103,000 miles

103 000 on a v8 5.7 vortec, and the bitch blows. had a oil pressure problem. oil pump was still fine, infact i used it on my new engine. started with lifters knocking, over that weekend spun the berrin off the crank shaft, and blew rods out the oil pan while driving. once again Chevy is cheap with everything they doo!!!!!!
