2004 Chevy Tahoe. My little chihuahua and I were waiting for my husband in the parking lot of the surgery center.
He was having his cataract removed. The vehicle was backed into the parking spot. My husband told us to head home and pick him up when he called. I put the car in drive but pressed on the brake because a vehicle was passing in front of us looking for a parking spot. The brake went right to the floor. The alarms went off. I put the vehicle in park. I also put the parking brake on. Thank God my little dog and I had not pulled out into traffic. There was brake fluid all over the parking spot we were in. Friends picked up my dog and I and took us home. It was towed to the garage. It had catastrophic brake failure. I don’t even want to think about what could of happened to us.....
Update from Jul 30, 2019: Hi everyone. Had the Tahoe towed to Regional Auto. It took 7 days for them to repair the whole brake system. They had to actually fabricate parts because they said it literally blew apart.
