Takata recall - GM has submitted to NHTSA a petition for inconsequentiality and NHTSA has granted GM until August 2017 to complete its investigation and to submit all data supporting the petition. I received notice that my vehicle is part of this issue and I have yet to hear a response to claim and the investigation was to be completed by 8/2017. I just hope that I live to see this issue through should my airbag release since it could have metal shrapnel.
Takata recall I again contacted my local Chevrolet dealer, robbins Chevrolet, humble Texas regarding getting airbags replaced. Service manager was polite and responsive but said no remedy available. GM / Chevrolet will not address problem. No action by GM / Chevrolet since recall notice was received several years ago in spite of numerous inquiries.

Takata recall - there is an active recall on this vehicle - the dealership refuses to implement the recall based on an internal memo from Chevrolet which instructs the dealership to not comply with the terms of the recall mandate based on an assertion that GM is challenging the need for the recall based on statistical evidence gathered in the execution of prior recalls. The recall remains outstanding for over 2 years putting passengers in my vehicle at risk of serious injury. - therefore we are unable to utilize the vehicle in the manner for which it is designed, to carry passengers other than the driver in a safe manner. I am not going to put my personal wealth and the life of my passengers at risk.

Takata inflators: The recall has a date on it almost two years old and there is still no resolution to this issue. What happens if there is an accident and my air bag malfunctions while my family is in the car. This is not acceptable. There needs to be more accountability. This could cause a fatality that could be prevented if the company spent less time worrying about saving a dollar. If there is no resolution to this issue soon then I want Chevy to buy my truck back.
