Takata recall... I've been in a car accident and my air bags did not deploy, I even have warning lights on that says service airbag. GM told me there is no remedy for this recall? I would like it fixed as there is a recall!!
My dashboard first cracked where the passenger airbag connects to the dashboard and now is cracked in 3 other places: 2 above the control panel connected to the vent and one above the radio. It is very frustrating and has got to be a safety issue with the location of the airbag and the crack. I am not willing to put my family at risk to just wait and see or take someone's word that "it is not a safety issue". a new dashboard is very expensive. I have read that this is a recurring problem among may Tahoe along with other models. These cracked dashboards are a lawsuit waiting to happen when they are not deployed appropriately during an accident. I have not seen when these 4 cracks occurred, but the cracks allow for the dashboard to shift and crack more when driving over bumps, etc.
Air bag recall from 2016. No parts to fix per dealer 4 times, display shows need airbag fixed. Whats up" dealer says may never have parts to fix. Are you waiting on someone to have a real problem like a wreck"

Takata recall on a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe. My husband was in a car wreck August 9th he was rear ended twice and the it bags did not deploy even though his seat belt was on. There was enough damage to total it out. Both cars that hit him had air bags deploy but my husbands did not. They looking D like there were going to deploy but never did. Takata recall - the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner, I have been trying to get the airbag replaced due to the recall for over two years. I am always told that the there are no parts available to fix the airbag. I have not had any detonation of the airbag yet.

Takata recall: I received a letter in July 2016 about a recall that occurred in May 2016 for my passenger airbag. It has been over 2 years and there has been no change in the status of the remedy (remedy not available). This is an unreasonable delay. To tell me that my airbag should be replaced and then not given me a remedy in over 2 years. I have been unable and unwilling to put a passenger in that seat while the airbag is under recall. That makes me vehicle defective and I cannot in good faith, sell it to someone else while it is under recall.
I called Chevy service department they said they do not have the part yet to fix the car they transfers me to Chevy main office when I talked to this man who told me that Chevy says my car is ok to drive & told me that the traffic safety board was holding them up from doing the recall I contacted them with the number I had on my important safety recall page this recall was sent out in 2016 & now it's 2018 I'm worried about my family's safety of going places in this car yes Chevy is right my car is drivable but is it safe. Accidents are as they are accidents but if I was to get in one I fear for the safety of others & myself I hope that by saying something I can help myself & others be safe in their cars
