The only solution is to have the dealer replace the oil pump. Because of salt related damage, they also had to replace the oil pain and crossover exhaust pipe. My local Chrysler dealer did a great job on the repair, however the oil pump should not have been intermittently being stuck on high speed causing the error code P06DE.
It appears it may be a flash programing error issue because the dealer updated the PCM after replacing the parts. I am the second owner purchasing the vehicle from a family member at approximately 78,000 miles. The repair may have been covered for the original owner up until 100,000 but am not sure.
