Just had my brakes pads and rotors changed since I bought my car back in 2015 used certified at Dodge. After 5 years of use I decided to change them cause the previous ones were making noise and my steering started to shake when trying to stop. I bought the parts at O’Reilly. After few days of installing the new ones a strange noise like grinding metal started to come from the front brakes, took my car back to the mechanic. He inspected everything and said everything looked fine, he washed the parts with brake cleaner just in case, also washed the emergency brakes and everything looked just fine. There were no signs of anything broken or loose. Put everything back and we did some drive testing and the problem was gone. After few hours the noise came back again. Since then the noise comes and goes. I just gave up. I’ll try to change my car. This car has so many issues. Transmission, brakes, windshield, paint, gas consumption - it’s awful.

Every year that I go in and get my car inspected I explain to the gentleman that my brakes are grinding and have been since about 6 months after I got the car. They have replaced the rotors 4 times so far and they have been under warranty, but what happens when the warranty runs out? I cannot afford to pay for the rotors every year.

Why can't they be fixed properly. When I go down a hill, or even a slight grade, and put the brakes on they grind and I am afraid that I won't stop sometime. This makes me not want to keep this car but I am stuck with it. Any other complaints about this. The garage keeps telling me there is nothing wrong with them.

Every time I back out my brakes squeak so bad it wakes my neighbors up, now they are starting to grind and I had them checked out by three places and they all said my brakes are good on my car.

When my brakes heat up (hot), they start making a grinding metallic sounding noise when applied. Dealership can't find a problem and tell me the pads are fine. Bottom line is...I can't take long trips in the car for fear that the brakes will go out when they heat up.
