THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS SON WAS DRIVING AT 60 MPH AND RELEASING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THROTTLE STUCK OPEN, THE WHEELS WERE SPINNING, AND THE BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE. THE DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE OR POWER OFF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO DEPRESS THE BRAKES WITH FORCE AND VEERED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WHICH ALSO FAILED TO ENGAGE. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO MOVE AND THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO TURN THE VEHICLE TO THE RIGHT AND CRASH INTO THE CURB CAUSING THE DRIVER SIDE WHEEL TO DETACH. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. NO INJURY.
