CarComplaints.com Notes: The Chrysler Crossfire has a nasty habit of having the back window fall out. While there are reports of this happening to every model year (2004-08), the 2005 has it worst. Naturally this problem tends to happen beyond the standard 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty leaving owners to pick up the tab along with the shattered pieces of glass.

Crossfire Convertible V6

First the rear glass came unseat from vinyl convertible top. Car is garage kept.

Car died without warning at 55mph. After 10 minutes car restarted whereby at 45mph rpms went to 0, though car did not stall or sputter. After another 10 minutes restarted but check engine light remained lit.

Next day car had no sign of issue check engine light was not lit.

On the third day car died as described in first paragraph, now car dies and will not restart and is sitting at the end of the street where I live. It has been more than an hour and car will not start.

Thinking of leaving keys in car hoping someone will steal as this car is becoming a pain in the butt. My sense of security is shaken and feel like I could be killed or injured should the issue not be repaired correctly.

If I can get to my mechanic and it is repaired I will be getting rid of this car and will NEVER purchase another Chrysler product or sister company product!
