I have a 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. Went to get my tires rotated and alignment done. Technician tells me that he's unable to align the rear due to the amount of rust and that if he takes off the bolts, they will snap and I won't be able to get them back on. He then shows me the front and tells me that its just a matter of time before the engine and whatever else is held up by the sub frame will drop through. I then find out this is a common problem and that there is a class action lawsuit against Chrysler for this problem. 4-5k fix.....totally ridiculous. There should have been a recall for anyone who had the model Pacifica within the year ranges.

Disappointed in the Chrysler Corp. for using inferior materials in the frame of the 2006 Chrysler Pacifica. Will not be buying any more Chrysler products. This is a very significant and dangerous problem and I actually feel Chrysler should have a recall on these Pacificas since the problem originated in 2004 and nothing has been done since that time. How many complaints have been registered but not recognized by Chrysler. We are fortunate to not have had this car out on the Hwy. at this time. We have a trustworthy mechanic that showed my husband the whole extent of the rust and warned us about driving it anywhere until fixed. We have dealt with this mechanic for several years with both cars and know him to be cautious and dependable. Chrysler should deal with this problem without delay, especially if they want to keep their present customers and appeal to the car buying person. I fully intend to warn family and friends about this problem which has gone on since 2014, much too long.

I own a 2006 Chrysler Pacific that has 125214 miles. During a routine oil change today, I was informed that the engine cradle on my car has corroded to the point that it is not safe and will not pass NYS inspection when due June 2015.

After Googling this issue I found that on October 23, 2010, FCA US (formerly Chrysler) issued a technical service bulletin (TSB) to its dealers concerning Chrysler Pacifica cars vibrating and shaking. Mechanics were told to check the engine cradles and front suspension of certain 2004-2005 Chrysler Pacificas with V6 3.5L engines. However, the TSB applied only in certain areas of Canada and 19 "salt belt" states in the U.S. Then on November 9, 2010, FCA US issued a letter extending warranty coverage for 2004-2005 Chrysler Pacificas and offering to reimburse owners who paid for engine cradle repairs related to rust.

However, on March 16, 2012, Fiat Chrysler released another TSB which superseded the previous TSB. The March 2012 bulletin said the extended warranty and engine cradle defect applied to 2004-2005 Chrysler Pacificas in the salt belt, but only those cars that were manufactured during a specific six-week period in 2004: February 23, 2004 through March 31, 2004.

I also read that on January 21, 2015 a class-action lawsuit was filed (Holland, Jr. et al v. FCA US LLC) in Ohio alleging model year 2004-2008 Chrysler Pacifica cars have engine cradles that rust so severely the engines can fall out of the cars.

This is the fourth Chrysler/Dodge vehicle I have owned in the last 20 years, since the age of 16. My first car at 16 years old was a 1990 Dodge Shadow, I also owned a 1996 Concorde, and 2000 Town & Country. I love my Pacifica and have been very happy with all of the Chrysler vehicles I have owned. I have been a loyal customer and I am hoping that Chrysler will quickly decide to repair the corroded engine carriage on my vehicle free of charge, so that I can continue being a loyal Chrysler owner.

Took my car in for a routine inspection and the whole sub frame was rusted and had holes large enough to put my hand through. My state requires yearly inspection. The damage is years old, I was told, and the dealer who passed it last year had to have seen the damage that they don't know anything about it and it isn't their problem. I'm now stuck with a car payment on a car that to fix costs more than the value of the car.

I don't know where to turn or what to do. I'm filing complaints with every agency in hopes of getting somewhere but in the meantime I have no car to take my kids to school and run errands in. I got screwed by a dealer who passed the buck to me! Help!

I get the Pacifica serviced every 6,000 miles with oil change, go over and tire rotation/balance and to take the vehicle into the garage TODAY for the normal servicing and have them call me at work to tell me that the sub frame is rotting and cracked was a shock! I financed the vehicle for 5 years in November, 2010 and hoped to have it for at least 6 years and now to get this call and still have 17 more payments just makes me SICK!!! I really have no idea how I will ever buy a vehicle when I owe on this vehicle!!!

I took my car in for a simple oil change and they told me the subframe on front of the vehicle is severely corroded and needs to be replaced because it is a safety issue. They told me it would cost $4,000 to replace! I called Chrysler customer service and they said this is an issue on the 2004 & 2005 models only and therefore they won't do anything. I told them clearly this is not only an issue with those models because my 2006 model has corroded too! The 2006 models are now reaching higher mileage and this issue is being diagnosed in them too.
