My mileage is irrelevant to the issue of faulty paint. I am all for a class action law suit. It is very disappointing that Chrysler will not take responsibility and correct their faulty paint defects. I don't care if only 4 people complained. I am certain there are others out there.... (fyi don't have an email address. made one up because one was required to obtain an account)

On the hood, I noticed that the clear coat is, and apparently has been peeling and flaking off. In addition, the real p-in the-a, is the passenger rear fender well is rusting out, and I just recently noticed a small patch of rust under the driver's side door where the door meets the weatherstrip on the rocker panel. I haven't yet gotten an estimate and would prefer to do the work myself, but it would be easier to pay someone to do it. I dont want these blemishes to depreciate the value of my vehicle someday when I go to trade/sell it.

When washing my 2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan, my brother noticed that there was paint missing on the left fender above the headlight. The paint is also bubbling and the section where the paint is missing is beginning to rust. I took the car to the dealership where it was purchased and they took pictures and submitted them to Chrysler. Chrysler responded that, "Due to the mileage on the vehicle, we feel that this was caused by an outside influence". When I called Chrysler for them to elaborate, they said it was caused my a stone hitting my car. Now mind you, there is not a dent, ding, or any damage caused to my headlight. How can a stone be so powerful as to chip the paint off, down to the metal, but cause no other damages. I think Chrysler is trying to cover there butt due to this defect and they are placing the blame on their customers. I feel that we should join forces and possibly file a class action lawsuit against Chrysler. Many voices are easier heard than just one. I know I will think twice about purchasing another vehicle from a company who does not stand behind their product.
