This is the eighth time this car has stalled while driving. Only this time, rather than happening at low speed, I was going between 30-40 mph. Once I was able to coast to the side of the road, avoid being hit by traffic, I was able to re-start the car and continue driving.

As I was driving home, with heavy traffic behind me, I noticed a big rig behind me, I also noticed him riding my ass, so I decided to signal to get out into the next lane problem is the car stalled as we came to a red light, the big rig blowing his horn not very happy when the ;light turned green, all of a sudden everyone and their mother was beeping, and yelling, or screaming foul language at me because this Chrysler lemon broke down again, as I tried to restart it again it started up no problem. I went down a one way road to avoid the angry people and it did not do it again. That was yesterday, today my kids have school that are in college and once again stalled now I am pissed, Chrysler better fix this lemon God forbid anything happens with Chrysler one has to loose a life in order for them to rectify any issue. Any attorney interested in my case please help.

Purchased vehicle June 2015. Been a nightmare ever since. It was turning off in traffic twice a month. Now its twice a week. I am disgusted with Chrysler and how they have no regard for human life. We're a family of 6 (4 children included) and put in danger daily because Chrysler is too cheap and trifling to fix their worthless vehicles. Can't we start a class action suit?

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WHEN THE VAN JUST SHUT OFF. WHEN I LOOK AT THE RECALLS FOR 2010 TOWN AND COUNTRY VANS IT SHOW ONE FOR JUST THIS ISSUE. WHEN I CALLED CHRYLER THEY INFORMED ME THAT MY VAN DOESN'T HAVE ANY ACTIVE RECALLS. THE ISSUE THAT WE ARE EXPERIENCING (IT'S HAPPENED TWICE) IS EXACTLY AS THEY DESCRIBE IN THE RECALL.

2010 Town & County shuts off while driving - typically between 25 to 45 MPH - dangerous - Minimize driving vehicle for fear of being in and/or creating car accident. Bought used. Dealer purchased from could not figure out problem, December 2014 Chrysler could not re-create problem (yet they know from numerous other consumer complaints it's a problem) and sent me on my way with vehicle. It's @ Chrysler dealer today, US Department of Transportation has been communicated with. Anyone having the same problem needs to keep speaking up so Chrysler will address and fix the issue. Engine shuts off, have to pull off road (difficult as steering is near impossible). Car accident(s) can easily be created as there's no warning, car just shuts off.

Very concerned Chrysler has not taken responsibility for this problem and are not willing to fix it. In December, diagnosis fee paid, but since they couldn't re-create, it was $100.00 wasted. Vehicle has approximately 56,000 miles - build date of vehicle June 30, 2010. 42,819 miles on vehicle when purchased, purchased February 22, 2014. One "suggestion" made by Chrysler is to only put the ignition key in ignition w/no others keys on the ring. No other keys are on nor have they been so that's just not the solution. There are no recalls on this particular vehicle based on vin and it's manufacturing date. Seriously at a loss as to what can be done so I and my family can transit in a safe vehicle.

Another intermittent problem. Having the engine die when I am accelerating on the freeway on ramp could be very dangerous. Both problems occurred again prior to July 10, 2015 while I was on vacation. Luckily no one was behind me when it occured on the freeway..

Dealership inspected the vehicle and said that the EGR is stuck on high.

According to Complaints.Com their was a recall to replace the fuel pump relay in 9/2014 and 2/2015 but I never was sent a recall notice.

Should be repaired under the 100,000 extended warranty that I purchases even though my vehicle has 100597 miles.

Well this time the try is a replacement of the Crankshaft sensor thing, my friend had hers changed out on their van, and the rep and the mechanic figured that is what it was. Well NO SURPRISE! It STILL STALLS!

1) Van this time stalled on the road going around 35 mph or so 2) Lost steering 3) ABS Traction light came on 4) Had to push pretty good to come to a stop 5) Restart van again and go

DID I say this IS GETTING HORRIBLY ANNOYING!!

Van stalled on me two times before this next appt. on the 23rd of June 2015, while making a turn the van stalled out and I had to push the brakes hard in order to come to a stop so that I could restart the van again. And then again a little later after a meeting I had and that happened as did the other stall at around the 30 mph mark. So called my local Chrysler shop to make an appt since the issue wasn't fixed. Back in we went....

This is a letter I penned to Chrysler detailing what exactly happened:

Thankfully, no one was injured. Thankfully, there were several people who stopped and assisted me to a safe location. On 7/20/2015, my husband purchased the 2010 Chrysler Truck Town & Country VIN: 2AA4RR5D18AR432222 from the Roger Williams Automall in Weatherford, Texas. The vehicle, before it was offered for sale, had just gone through a full inspection through the dealership maintenance department. This morning, my 4 year old daughter and I left to run errands and less than 6 miles from our home the engine temperature warning light came on and the engine coolant temperature gauge shot from C to H instantaneously. I pulled over onto the access road, turned my van off, and called my husband. About fifteen minutes later he arrived, popped the hood, and checked the fluid levels. The coolant was very low. He filled the coolant and we restarted the van. The engine temperature warning light was off and the temperature gauge read normal.

We resumed our day and I went onto the highway. Not more than two minutes later, the electronic throttle control light came on as well as the malfunction indicator light. At the time, I did not know what these warning lights meant, so as traffic slowed to a halt due to lanes of traffic merging from highway 287 onto 35, I reached over to the glove box to get the user guide. From the information in the guide, as long as neither light was flashing (which they were not) they car was drivable but should be brought to an authorized dealer for service. I called my husband and let him know that other warning lights came on and that I would stop at some point today at a dealership. I continued onto 35 and then soon heard a clicking sound so I turned the radio off to listen closely- it was a rapid clicking and then it stopped. I drove for just a couple more minutes in very heavy traffic then the temperature gauge went back to H, the electronic stability program light went off, the charging system light went on, and I lost the ability to accelerate, the power steering stopped working, and it was very hard to maneuver. I managed to exit and the car stopped working. There we were- 200 feet off of the I-35 exit ramp toward Western Center Drive in very heavy traffic. The car was dead. I tried to restart it three times and then I smelled smoke and saw it coming out from under the hood of the engine. Afraid that the engine was going to catch fire, I quickly exited the vehicle and got my daughter out of the car. Thankfully, people in four different cars stopped to help us. They helped push my car out of the major lanes of exiting traffic and put my daughter safely in their car while I steered. Another person came and had a chain and tow bar and towed me into a parking lot that was on the other side of the overpass. These two men had mechanical experience and pointed out that there was water or some fluid by the exhaust pipe in the rear of the car which may be indicative of a blown gasket.

My husband left work and came to my aid. We towed the vehicle to Allen Samuel Dodge in Alliance and then the dealership where we purchased the car sent another tow truck to bring the car to their location. That is where it is right now- I am waiting to hear their solution. Had I of been in the left lane of traffic, instead of the right when the car stopped working, I could have easily been in an accident potentially injuring myself, my daughter, or any other people driving on the road. Due to the fact that the traffic was so heavy, it could have easily been a multiple vehicle and/or injury accident. When I looked to see if this was a common problem among this make and model, I was quite upset to find that this is a common problem among Chrysler vehicles. It is more than an inconvenience- it is a safety issue. It could be a life or death issue. Thankfully no one was injured today. What will you do as a company to make this right? You are obviously aware that a problem exists. Will you issue a recall notice or will you put profit over people?

I need to feel safe driving a vehicle, without having to worry if it is going to malfunction on me while I am driving. Russian roulette is not a game I would ever play. Unfortunately, it seems that is what people are doing when they step into a vehicle with hidden defects like these. Please help me restore my car to one that is safe and reliable. While driving down the road at approx. 35 miles per hour, the car completely shut down. Total loss of all functions. Had to pull it over amidst traffic with no power steering. TERRIBLE- WE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED!

Electrical (lightning bolt symbol) and check engine light both came on. Sometimes I hear a clicking noise and the ignition clicks back to the ACC setting.

Car will restart almost immediately and act like nothing even happened.

I have taken the car into the dealership -AGAIN- for this problem, only now it is not under warranty any more. They have advised that it is the WIN Module this time. Chrysler is aware of this problem as I have again been given a case manager for this problem. I have been out of the car for over a week already.

I have taken the car into the dealership in May for this same thing happening and they have given it back stating they can not duplicate the problem so it is not fixable. It makes me feel like they just plain out don't believe me.

This problem was reported to Chrysler. -they have instructed me to take it back to the dealership (which I had to wait a week and a half for my appointment) and told me I should not take the vehicle back until after the problem is diagnosed and I speak directly with Chrysler again.
