CarComplaints.com Notes: This is a classic example of why you should avoid the first model year of a new car. Sure, it's new and shiny but there's going to be some growing pains.
The 2005 Magnum has problems with the gear shifter getting stuck, a shaky and sometimes stalled engine and transmission failure at 75,000 miles.
Let someone else deal with those headaches.

The interior lights would flash on and off when it first started. So, I took it for a drive one night to see what was going on and then they wouldn't shut off at all. I figured it was the sensor in the rear LATCHING mechanism and it was. It was replaced and it works fine, BUT my clock spring for the air bag system is needing replaced AND my cd player won't even turn on now. I push the mode button in, I hold it in, and it doesn't seem to won't to work, just lovely. I loved the car at first, but now it's getting to be a pain in my ass. So I'm looking forward to the newest problems that are headed my way.
