The contact owns a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. The contact stated that the entire instrument panel was falling apart. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealership where the contact was informed the failure was not covered under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000. The current mileage was approximately 68,000.

The contact owns a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. He stated that the dashboard and the instrument panel was cracking. He noticed approximately one year ago that there were smaller cracks which have increased over time. The dealer quoted an estimate repair cost of $570 to repair the vehicle. They also took photos of the damage. Chrysler's customer service division was notified and stated that they are researching the failure and that they will contact him regarding it. The contact is concerned about the safety hazard since an injury could occur. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure mileage was 170,000 and current mileage was 196,000.

One day in the summer of 2007, I noticed a small crack in the dashboard of my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. Later, many cracks appeared and portions of the dashboard have actually fallen through into the electrical components and gauges. This has caused a few instances of the lights and gauges to malfunction at times.

The contact owns a 2001 Dodge Ram. The contact stated that the vehicle's dashboard began to crack and pieces are falling down into the instrument panel. He has written letters to the attorney general's office, the better business bureau, and daimler Chrysler. No one has responded as of yet. This failure has been ongoing since January of 2004. The contact stated that the vehicle was still under the original warranty when the failure first began. The failure still persists. The engine size was unknown. The current mileage is 91,000 and failure mileage was 36,000. The consumer stated the vehicle was taken to power Dodge for repairs. The consumer stated the dealer will provide a copy of repairs.
