Ram 2500 5.7L/ V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 34,000 miles

The dash has cracked in 3 different places !!!!!!

Transfer case has failed twice because minor leaks that don't drip where you can see them.

1st time was covered, second time had a friend [ ex- transmission shop owner] fix it.

The 1st time took a week of arguing with Dodge to get it covered.

I don't know what happened, but at 80 km/h I heard a click, click sounds followed by an explosion sound at which point I could see and hear parts flying in every direction while driving down the highway ! I was two minutes away from picking up my four year old son, which happened to be about 150 kms from home, I'm glad he was not in the truck with me. There is nothing left of the transfercase housing,it is gone and most parts inside are gone too ! Never saw anything like it before.

If anyone else had similar problem or reasonable explanation could you share please. Thanks. P.S. I still love my Dodge (s) but they are starting to test my patience.
