In 2013 it shut down, smoked, barely got it off the road. Towed to dealer in Simi Valley, stated it was the ECM, several issues in that repair not up to par! Supposed to ck the whole electrical system after I spent $2,700.00. Then not long after, the battery cables were so swollen the batteries and cables had to be replaced. Had to take it to another dealer (Crown in Ventura) who could not see the other repairs just done, cost me another $400 for cables, plus cost of 2 batteries. (now I have been told you can't get Manufacturer rated batteries so I had to get step down in power) Cold starts show fluctuating charge, lights dim and come up, gauges go dim and come up. Not long after that I started having starting problems. Cranks but doesn't turn over. Wait a few seconds and starts right up but Radio intermittently does not come on after start. Now, its 2018, have 150k on it now, still having same issues but more frequently, dealer has never addressed any of the complaints when I brought it in. Was told by Dealer that Dodge has known about this for quite a while, so WHY is it not being addressed and it better NOT be on my dime!!!

Geez, where do I start. Transmission replaced... sent back 17 times -- not exaggerating. Still has problem with indicator light lighting up on the D. A few months back- tranny messed up again wouldn't go into park, reverse. Linkage broke. At the same time - no head lights, no, electric windows, no radio, no fan, no blinkers, no wipers. Next day came back on. Today driving down service rd. hit a rough rub board time road problem. Truck died-- muscled my way to turn into a drive. put truck in park and started right up.

I swear this truck has a Gremlin

Ram 2500 SLT 5.9L 6

  • Manual transmission
  • 98,000 miles

Truck dash comes on without the key in it. Then when I start it, no power on the dash, no power windows, no radio, no windshield wiper, no nothing. Then I put the key one back I have power on the dash board everything comes on. I have no blinkers, also the abs light & the brake light stays on. when I'm driving it goes on & off. Everything in the truck, the radio, the a/c even the windshield wipers go haywire.

Jamaica Motors told my husband he needed to change the computer panel, that's the brain. Ever since they installed that part it has gotten worse. Spending 1700 dollars on something that didn't fix the problem, I could have save all that money. Not even the mechanic could figure it out. It is a safety issue when you have no power in the truck and because of this issue my truck won't start. It's draining my battery. So what to do. It's costing me money. Thanks
