CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2015 Ford Edge has a trend of the engine dying while driving, which is typically considered a safety issue.
Owners report the stalling while driving problem is caused by the throttle body needing replacement. The problem typically occurs at low mileage & so the issue has been covered under warranty -- although by now, the 2015 Edge is generally past the full warranty period.

Our 2015 Ford Edge was parked in the yard of a non-profit. Apparently something hit the window while a volunteer was mowing. When my husband returned to the parked car, the window looked cloudy, like it had condensation on it, even though it was mid-day. He touched it with his fingertip, and it fell into many tiny pieces down into the driver's seat. According to the company that replaced the window, which is a third party contracted by the local Ford dealer, there was no lamination to hold the shards in place. We are fortunate no one was injured, but this incident calls into question the safety of the other windows in the car.
Appears to be two separate wavy cracks across rear roof panel. No indication of any strikes. Same experience as many others have documented regarding cracks for no apparent reason. Did experience failure when closing roof panel also.
Found my Ford Edge 2015 titanium panoramic sunroof cracked when reaching 78km. Checked online and found more similar cases from other owners via https://www.cargurus.com/cars/discussion-T57175_ds687995

Takara recall I have had continuous issues with my 2015 Edge with the doors becoming ajar. The first time I was stuck in below zero conditions, without being able to have my heart on close my doors or lock them. If that wasnt enough, I had to call a tow truck because my car battery died as a result of being able to close the doors. This has happened countless times and now again I have another issue but the lift gate is ajar. This time however the car is still driving. How can Ford not recall this? you say it isn't a safety issue but I could have froze to death, been seriously injured when I'm driving and the door suddenly flies open. Correct this. I will end up filing a lawsuit if anything happens again. I just bought this car a year ago. You cannot justify a $40,000 car not being able to open or close my doors or trunk. Get it figured out or I will be contacting someone who will. I've been in support of Ford since I was 16. You're about to loose a valuable customer and I'm about to spread the word how Ford cant stand behind their vehicles.
The car keeps losing power while driving!! it flashes "full accessory power mode" and then completely loses power! this last time was mid turn into a strip mall with traffic coming. I thank god my daughter was not in the passenger seat! there is no warning or anything when this happens, it just quits! this is the 5th incident!! I looked online and sooo many people have had this happen just like us at various points throughout ownership and no dealership can duplicate the problem so Ford says there is no problem! there is a serious safety problem! a car in great shape regardless of miles cannot just stop! what if someone dies??!!
Since I purchased the vehicle it has been making a jerking effect after it passes 1st gear to 2nd. The jerking effect seems to be coming from the motor. I took it to the dealer and the dealer said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. To this day it still has the jerking effect.
Vehicle was parked on 09/29/18 with no cracks. Upon opening the cover to the vista sunroof on 0.9/30/18, both front and back panels had developed long wave like cracks between the layers of glass. There is no indication of impact to the panels. A pen track test was performed with no findings of any impact points. This appears to be a defect in the material or manufacturing process as these cracks appear to be stress related and not impact related.
While driving my vehicle between 45 and 60 mph on city streets and rural highways, received a message on my screen stating "the usb device is consuming excessive power. It may not work correctly with sync."; but, this is the same device I've been using plugged into the same usb port ever since I bought this vehicle on 07/07/15. I couldn't get this message to clear; but, soon afterwards this message appeared "navigation fault. Please see the touchscreen" and the touchscreen showed this message "insert nav sd card"; but, my nav sd card which is an A8 was inserted. Soon after this message appeared the screen went completely dark before it began "performing scheduled system maintenance". my vehicle was originally in the shop for this same issue on 07/19, 08/02 and 08/04. During the 07/19 visit the following corrective actions were taken by the dealership: S154 diag, power reset and apim update to software level 15128. Follow-up visit 08/02 included the following corrective actions by the dealership: S154 diag, apim power reset and master reset. Will have to wait until Monday, 08/07 to hear back from the dealership regarding recommended actions to resolve this ongoing issue.
As we slowly backed out of our garage, we looked up and saw a long crack in the sunroof. We remembered reading in consumer reports (Dec. 2017) that larger sunroofs have shattered and the article specifically mentioned Ford Edge. We immediately closed the shield in case it shattered and drove to the Ford dealer.
My sunroof cracked all on its own. I see there are several other people that have had this happened when I researched this online. My vehicle was in park and I heard it crack then looked up and saw the crack in my sunroof.
The sunroof of my car cracked. I keep my car in a garage and do not drive it to work as I am retired. Nothing fell on my car or hit my car. One day, I opened the cover on the sun roof while the car was stationary, and it was cracked. I have since read that the Ford Edge has a higher than usual number of complaints of cracked sunroofs.
The tires on our Edge are coming apart. They are hankook and aren't covered by any warranty or recall. Hankook dealer tells me that they are coming apart because of driving on gravel. Our roads are blacktop. All 4 tires look the same. Pealing away from core of tire.
Known problem with many Ford Edge power rear lift gates. The power gate will not operate with remote, interior release, or exterior release buttons. Also, cannot be released from inside either. Potentially, trapping someone in rear storage and unable to get out. Vehicle was stationary anywhere at any given time.
After owning my car for only 16 months, the panoramic sunroof on my 2015 Ford Edge titanium cracked completely down the length as well as across the width of the entire roof. Neither the car nor roof had not been struck by anything - it was very obviously a stress fractures. It was a warm sunny spring day, and the car had been just sitting in front of my house. When I drew back the sunroof shade, I saw the roof completely cracked side to side and front to back. I very carefully drove to my Ford dealership. The service department insisted that a rock or something hit it and refused to do anything to help replace it. I had to have a body shop replace the sunroof and my insurance company covered remaining $800 of the $1300 cost after I paid the $500 deductible. My auto insurance has now gone up several hundred dollars because they considered it an "accident" which it was not! this is obviously a manufacturing defect which very worries me that the replacement roof will be also likely to break. There was definitely no impact but Ford refused to acknowledge any responsibility - this is criminal.
