10/24/2020, I was driving the Edge to town to get an inspection tag when the engine light came on, then it went off. I got the tag for the car and while driving home, 2 miles, engine light came on again. I was less than a hundred yards from home, the bright overheating light came on flashing and bells going off. I pulled into driveway and shut it down.

It was sent to our local repair shop. He found coil pack #3 bad, spark plug was fouled with rust on it. He replaced the coil pack and all 4 spark plugs. He test drove it for a 10 mile road test, it ran fine. The next day, 10/25/20, the engine trouble light came on again, #3 cyl was not dead again, water and coolant was leaking into the cylinder causing engine failure. Shipped over to dealership where purchase new. Mileage was 64300. The service rep verified info to me that they had an engine block defect, and they will contact Ford about warranty help. The car was garage kept, both of us retired, kids grown, wife put 99.5 % of driving on herself.
