My wife was driving the car and had no heat. Once she got home we realized that the car was out of coolant. This has been found to be the known issue with this car. Especially with the snow and low visibility conditions I-??m glad my wife was able to make it home without being injured. This car is only a 2017 with around 122,000 miles. Took my car to my mechanic said that coolant was draining into my 2.0 ecoboost engine in cylinder 4 causing misfire, white smoke to come out of my pipes, sweet antifreeze smell in the cabin. Have to constantly dump coolant into the car so that it doesn't over heat.when i start the car in the morning it acts as if the car is going to die if I don't hit the gas. Contacted ford, they said it was my problem. I bought the car a year ago. It started at about 72000 miles.

My car had a check engine light on and I took it to the dealership to get it checked out and they said that coolant had leaked into cylinder 2 causing misfire and the whole engine needed replaced. The ford rep said it-??s a common issue know with that specific engine. Coolant is very flammable and could-??ve very easily started an engine fire.
There is a crack in the block that is causing coolant to leak into the cylinder. This is a very common issue with these motors and should have been recalled a long time ago

Brought car with 54k miles. Went to dealer 1 month before warranty ended. I was told there were specific problems which I fixed. I later went back a few months later and was told it-??s the battery. The Check engine light came back on a month later. I was told Coolant is leaking into the engine requiring you to need new engine. It-??s dangerous because car won-??t go over 20 mph. Hello, I have reported this issue before and am still looking for help. My 2017 ford edge 2.0 liter Ecoboost engine leaked coolant into the cylinders causing engine failure.
