The seat belt on the driver's side front keeps getting locked up and won't come out. I have to mess with the seat belt height adjuster to get it to work and sometimes it just doesn't which then makes my seat belt alert light and beep go off every few minutes.

This happened once in January of 2022. It was fixed by a Ford dealer - this was under warranty. It happened again on November 20, 2022. The car is now not under warranty and there's no telling how much this will cost to fix.

Went to drive my Edge and the seat belt would not come out of the B pillar. I had to call Ford Roadside assistance since I could not drive the car without a seat belt.

I have a concern regarding seat belts. I had an incident 2 weeks ago where the rear seat belt wrapped around my 10 years old son around his belly. He was stuck, bruised and I tried unwrapping the belt it did not help. He was hanging in the middle can't sit, can't lift him up. It was scary. I had to cut it. I was at the hospital parking where a nurse came by and I asked her to bring a scissor, and I was able to free up my son. It was urgent and frightening. I went to dealership, they helped me, waiting for it to be replaced. I understood that I have to pay for repair. I still believe this thing needs to be investigated well. I have been driving many cars for 22 years and this is the first time incident that I face and I have not heard any hing like this before. Investigation and covering the cost are things I will appreciate to help avoid a possible tragedy.
