Hard to believe how widely this known this problem is (of the enlarged lug nuts due to the chrome cap) based on my searches on the internet, wow. And Ford still does nothing about it. I was so fortunate to have some good Samaritans help me out and happen to have a wrench that fit the enlarged lug nuts on my car. I replaced all of the lug nuts with steel ones at a cost of $10 each, but I have peace of mind now, which is nice. But I'm not thrilled with Ford and their design.
