This Escape has been plagued with suspension issues, so a broken spring should come as no surprise. We are light drivers and live on a paved road, and take good care of our vehicles. A broken spring, really? I've never had a vehicle with this many suspension problems and now this. I have learned over the years of owning this Escape that the suspension is greatly downsized from what it should be for the size and tires of this vehicle, which to me as an engineering fault right from he beginning. I think Ford really needs to look back at its own vehicles from the 1970s and learn from its own mistakes. In the meantime, I am done with Ford, for good. I had always been a firm believer in Ford trucks from the 1970s and 1980s, but after hearing these same failures from others within the same years of 2000 and newer, I am done with new Ford vehicles.
